Our Story
In April 2020, Alon Barikman and Adv. Shlomit Harel-Schwartz joined forces with the goal of assisting the community following the tragic loss of their friend's 14-year-old daughter, Omer Oziel, to cancer.
During this encounter, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, two experienced social activists came together to establish the Alon & Ella (NPO) - People for the Community.
Together, they decided to fulfill a shared dream and formalize their assistance activities for others within the association they named after Ella Schwartz, the firstborn daughter of Shlomit, who passed away in 2005.
In a short period of time, they were joined by numerous volunteers, and today the association boasts over 5,500 volunteers from all walks of life in society.
These volunteers provide assistance to others in various aspects of life, each contributing according to their abilities, skills, and availability.
